Commercial Art Installation Checklist for Hotels, Offices and Restaurants

Plans and documents
Layout plan or elevations showing where each piece goes.
A piece schedule: sizes, weights and hanging hardware for each piece.
Wall types at each location (drywall, stone, glass, tile and so on).
Site and access
Building access, loading and elevator arrangements.
After-hours or weekend windows if the space is open to the public.
A certificate of insurance, if the building or owner requires one.
Public areas and safety
Security hardware for pieces in public or high-traffic areas.
Keep anything that protrudes from the wall in circulation paths within accessibility limits. Confirm the requirements with the project architect.
Pricing, deposit and billing
Our commercial rate is $300 for the first 2 hours and $200 for each additional hour. Heavy-duty anchors are $5 each and French cleats $20 each. The commercial rate also applies to jobs booked through interior designers. For larger projects we take a 40% deposit at award and use progress billing. Texas sales tax of 8.25% is shown separately.

Can you install after hours? Yes. We schedule 7 days a week and can work around opening hours.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance? Yes, on request.
How is a large commercial project billed? A 40% deposit at award, then progress billing.
Who confirms accessibility requirements? The project architect. We follow the placements confirmed on the drawings.
